Create a Facebook Event.

1: Log into Facebook

2: Go to your businesses Facebook page

3: Click on the “Events” tab

4: Click on “Create Event”

5: The event form will pop up.

6: The event name should include the name of your business. For example “Live music at The Methow Valley Ciderhouse.”

7: If you don’t upload an event photo, it will use the banner image from your Facebook business page.

8: If you want to get more traffic to your website, list it in the description in the event.

See below for what will appear when you scroll down in the pop-up form.

9: If you enter another business as a co-host, they will be able to edit your event, but it will also show up on their Facebook business page.

10: When you’re ready select “publish.”

11: You can still edit the event once it’s published. See below to learn how to edit an event.

Edit a Facebook event

1: Log into Facebook

2: Go to your businesses page

3: Click the events tab

4: Click on your event

5: Click “Edit” on the top right.

Other tips:

1: Invite people to your event with the “Share” button right under your event title.

2: Get people excited about your event by periodically adding more information in the “Discussion.”

3: You can like another business as your business. Go to the business you want to like (from a computer not a smartphone). Next to the link button select the drop-down menu. Select “Like as my business.” Then select which of your businesses you’d like to use.
